Christina's friends Amanda and Shawn had a beautiful baby girl back in January and asked me to take some pictures! Wow it was my pleasure as Paige is an adorable girl. She has two little chompers, a wonderful smile and eyes that love to be photographed. Matter of fact I think she might pursue photography as she loved the camera!

Kat & Steve Get Married!

Kat and Steve got married on August 15 in Hollidaysburg, PA. It was a gorgeous day and this wonderful couple organized a beautiful wedding with the great family and friends. Touching words were spoken, love was in the air, and this couple has so much going for them! Here are a few images from the day. Congratulations to them!

For the unity canlde all the light were lowered and each guest had a candle. The back of the room lit their canlde and passed it up to the bride and groom which lit their unity candle with it. Very unique and very cool lighting!

Faith & Justin Maternity & Uncle Brad!!

Back in June my sister and brother in law were up for my sister's baby shower. She wanted me to take some maternity pictures. We attempted to go to Deer Lakes Park but it started to pour down rain 2 shots into it. Then the sun came busted out and they have very sensitive eyes. We got some decent shots and on Sept 11, 2009 at 4:07pm Lincoln Reed was born! The baby and the family are all well and so happy! We'll be traveling to see the little guy in October...I just hope I make a good uncle! Then maybe I can post some pictures. It is the first grandchild and nephew for our families and we are so happy...Faith and Justin are going to be great parents!

Katie & Guillaume's Wedding

My first international event! Guillaume and his family are from France. Katie and her family live 2 minutes up the road (nice having a very close wedding). The ceremoney was at St. Sebastian followed by a reception at Mt Troy Ballroom. The day was filled with great moments and shots but I love these ones from Riverview Park. We dodged raindrops to get these and I thank the couple and the wonderful bridal party for their fun creative shots! Thanks for the wonderful day!

Kat & Steve Engagement

Last year I photograph Steve's father, Geoff, marry Deb. A year later, I captured Steve and Kat for their own engagement. Even better I get to capture this couple's wedding this Saturday April 15! Carrie & Sean Engagement

My sister in-law is getting married! We are so happy she found someone and that Sean found someone too! They are getting married on Sept 12...no I am not photographing their wedding (I want to be a guest at this one), but the truly amazing Melody Farrin is! They asked me to take a few shots of them so one evening we ventured over to North park and had a great time!

OK this one was in our backyard!

I had to beg them to sit in the weeds and yet they loved the pictures!

Faith & Justin & Uncle Brad?

Yes it is true... my sister is pregnant! Faith and Justin are due to have their first baby, my first nephew, and both sets of parents first grandchild on Sept 24th, 2009! While they were up for Faith's baby shower on June 27th, 2009 we were just barely able to get to Deer Lakes Park for 20 minutes to capture some pictures. The rain forced us under cover and the long, humid and bright day caused some problems. Nevertheless, Faith looks wonderful, Justin is excited, parents are very happy, and me well I hope I can be a good uncle....

Sara & Dave Engagement Shoot

WOW time flies! Back on March 6, 2009 I met up with my distant relative Sara and her fiancee Dave. The two were getting married on June 6 and though I was not their photographer (which I was happy b/c I got to be a guest for once) they asked me to photograph them for some wedding use pictures. It was a great few hours at Phipps and they look great together! Their wedding was amazing (Heinz Chapel & Priory) and Christina and I had a blast. Special thanks to this wonderful couple!

I have not blogged in many many months and I feel I have neglected several events without posting them. I am sorry and will begin again. The house has kept Christina and I busy and my sister is pregnant and my sister in-law is getting married in September. Summer is "half over" and I don't know where the time went to. Awesome People In My Life

November 5 was my 30th birthday! My coworkers started by taking me to Piccolo Forno for an awesome pizza lunch! How nice was that? Christina then cooked me an awesome fillet mignon dinner that was divine. But the best part came today...she made reservations for the two of us at Joseph Tambellini, one of Pittsburgh's best places to dine. We walk up the steps and as I turn the corner all my family members and my great friends were there for a wonderful surprise birthday dinner! IT WAS AWESOME! The food, the service, the people were incredible. I was totally surprised and amazed. As you can tell by the time stamp, it is hard to come down off a high this big!

I've never had someone surprise me like this! I did however do some surprising to Christina back in 1998. Her prom landed on the same day as my sister's Penn State graduation. Devastated my best friend Frank was going to accompany Christina. Somehow I was able to work it where I could make it home and take Christina so Frank and I just led her along...she was rather surprised when I was standing at the bottom of her steps and not Frank. Here's an old picture!

People have been so good to me, my wife has always been so good to me. ..if you're reading this, I love you all so much, and hope I am good to you always!

Gina & Steve Visit

Tamps, Florida Trip

We finally made it down to see my sister Faith and her husband Justin! It's only been 8 years since we were there for their wedding! We had a blast! We went out on the boat, Christina did some shopping and we just relaxed...it was great! I got some great beach shots too!

Our First Home

So there haven't been many posts lately...why? Christina and I bought our first home! We closed June 30 and have been working ever since, painting, moving, and yes cutting grass (it feels so good to have grass). I haven't even taking any pictures yet. This one is from one of our first visits. We wanted to thank all our family for their support for helping us move and pack and unpack...we love you all!

Daniela & Brad's Wedding

I had the privilege of capturing Daniela & Brad's wedding this past weekend. The wedding took place in the New Castle, PA area at St. Vitus Church and the Scottish Rite Cathedral. The families were terrific and provided some of the best dancing shots. There were several traditional dances and I had a blast capturing them!

Deer Lakes Boy's Volleyball

My high school volleyball team was state champions back in 1978. To honor this accomplishment, the Deer Lakes Boys Volleyball Alumni Association ordered throwback jerseys for the current players. Having been a former player and volunteer coach I thought it would be fun to go and see this game and try my hand at sports photography....it was pretty demanding. Birthday & Phipps

Christina's birthday was this weekend and we celebrated with a trip to see the Phipps Spring Flower Show. As always we had a blast and the flowers were amazing! Tulips, orchids, and all sorts of others decorated the gardens. Though the Chihuly glass exhibit was amazing (I went 4 times!), I love how Phipps Staff organize that garden! I had to sneak shot of the Oreo pie my sweetie received this weekend...checkout those candles!

Cleveland

Christina and I went to Cleveland, OH this past weekend. We visited several museums and the Botanical Gardens. They have this tremendous glasshouse forest that was filled with butterflies! I highly recommend going in the summer months. It felt great to get behind the lens again. This winter didn't prove to have many good lasting snow storms. Another year of no snow pictures!

Camp Pictures

I was looking through some pictures and found a couple to share with ya'll. These are from Potter County back in October 2006.
The little snake was a test for me, as I have a tremendous fear of snakes...one bad childhood experince ruined me!
The Sadie May dog always proves to be the most photogenic thing..at any event!
This shoot was taken in the Potter County crystal clear and dark night. Cherry Springs State Park is known for its star parties. This area is the "darkest" area in the eastern US...no light pollution from any major city.

Fierceness at Phipps

So that whole America's Next Top Model Marathon in January had me on a "fierce" kick! When my sister and brother in-law visited from Tampa, FL we all went to Phipps Conservatory to see the Chihuly glass installation and Faith had to be fierce that day while I played Nigel Barker. Faith, don't expect any Tyra Mail soon....still love you though!

I never captured this flower before, but I really love it!

Chihuly is there until February 24, so I encourage you to go...night is even more spectacular!
